Enable Duplicate Services in Community Hub

Duplicate services can be enabled to reduce the volume of duplicate accounts created by constituents in Community Hub. These steps enable duplicate record checking on the Create Account and Add Individual pages.

Before contacting Nimble AMS Support, it can expedite the process if you provide the following information:

Which duplicate service you want to use. Learn what Duplicate Services are Available in Community Hub and how they differ.
If you want duplicate services enabled for person accounts, business accounts, or both.
If you are enabling duplicate services for person accounts, whether you want matching accounts displayed or not (click Show Me Images... in the steps below).

From Setup | Custom Settings, locate Customization Settings and click Manage.
Click to Edit the Customization setting for the Community Hub you want to configure.
To enable duplicate services for person accounts, select Individual Duplicate Checking Enabled.
1. Optionally, if you want to present a list of matching person accounts, select Show Matches For Duplicate Accounts.

  With both Individual Duplicate Checking Enabled and Show Matches For Duplicate Accounts enabled, the constituent is presented with the following information, which includes a list of matching accounts:
  With Individual Duplicate Checking Enabled enabled but Show Matches For Duplicate Accounts disabled, the list of matching accounts is suppressed and the message changes to explain their options:
  
  Here, the card heading is overridden to state "Do you already have an account?" See the next step.
2. If you do not enable Show Matches For Duplicate Accounts, consider overriding the MatchingAccounts custom label so the card heading no longer states "Matching Account(s)" because they will not see matching accounts.
To enable duplicate services for business accounts, select Company Duplicate Checking Enabled.
In Individual Create Account Dupe Service, enter one of the following values, which represent the different Duplicate Services Available in Community Hub. This affects individual duplicate checking logic for the account creation process only.

NC.DatacloudDupeService
NC.ContainsDupeService2
NC.DupeService

In Individual Affiliations Dupe Service, enter one of the following values, which represent the different Duplicate Services Available in Community Hub. This affects individual duplicate checking logic for the Affiliations in Community Hub feature only.
1. NC.DatacloudDupeService
2. NC.ContainsDupeService2
3. NC.DupeService
  
  If no value is specified for Individual Create Account Dupe Service or Individual Affiliations Dupe Service, NC.ContainsDupeService2 is used. So if you want to use NC.ContainsDupeService2, you could technically leave this field blank, but we recommend populating it to make it abundantly clear which service is being used.
